OVERVIEW
Church of God by Faith (COGBF) is committed to helping our volunteers continue their journey of excellence through learning. The Volunteer Scholarship Fund was created to financially assist members of COGBF who are interested in continuing their education.
ELIGIBILITY
To be eligible for the volunteer scholarship, the prospective recipient must be a volunteer and student who have dedicated, demonstrated, and committed their time to serve as a volunteer in the COGBF at the Local, District, and National levels. Proof of serving will be required.
The volunteer committee awards one scholarship to a first-time college admitted freshman who is an active member of the Church of God by Faith, Inc. (COGBF) and has applied by the priority deadlines, followed the scholarship guidelines, and met all the organization’s requirements. The one-time award will be payable directly to the school when the COGBF Scholarship Committee receives the first semester’s registration fee schedule.
The student must not have been awarded any other COGBF scholarship. This scholarship will exist in perpetuity as long as the funds are available.
REVIEW PROCESS
The review process incorporates the same complete criteria used in the selection decisions as indicated by the National Church of God by Faith Incorporation Scholarship Committee. Scholarships awards are awarded based on grades and standardized test scores, extracurricular involvement, leadership, and community service. Please send the test scores with your application.
DEADLINES
The scholarship application has an April 30th deadline. If selected for the scholarship, the Scholarship Chairperson or a designee will notify the student via email.
